Basicaptal® Information
Basic / Alkaline spills in the workplace pose a huge threat to personnel and equipment. Effectively dealing with the spill reduces the risk of contact and damage.
Basicaptal® combines the absorbancy of polymers with the neutralisation capabilities of amphoteric products. The indicators in Basicaptal® will turn blue in the presence of a base. As the absorbent neutralises the spill the colour will return to its original state and once the absorption process finishes you can quickly and effectively collect and dispose of the absorbent in accordance with local regulations.
The suppression of the corrosivity of the liquid makes this process safer and minimises damage to contaminated surfaces, cleaning equipment and personnel.
Basicaptal® will also suppress the vapours from basic (alkaline) spills due to the neutralisation process.
